Vivie's Playground

One of the first missions of Vivienne's Joy Foundation was to create a beautiful, inclusive, and interactive playground in Boyd Park. Designed through a community-build model, the playground was shaped by the ideas and imagination of local children and families.

Those dreams have become reality.

In the fall of 2018, more than 1,000 volunteers came together to build Vivie's Playground. Funded entirely through donations to Vivienne's Joy Foundation, the project stands as a testament to what a community can accomplish when it works together toward a common goal.

 

The playground features a dedicated area for children ages 2–5, a larger play structure for ages 5–12, an extensive swing area designed for all ages and abilities, a music play space, and a Little Free Library. Every element was thoughtfully designed to encourage imagination, exploration, inclusion, and connection.

 

We are proud to have gifted this special place to the City of Saint Paul. More than just a playground, Vivie's Playground is a joyful gathering place where children can play, families can connect, and memories are made every day.
