Julia Burgess
President + Chair of the Board
Ms. Burgess received her undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance in the banking industry and is an inactive CPA. Ms. Burgess is Vivienne’s mother and served on the Board of Directors for Mississippi Market Coop as the Treasurer for three years.
Laurie Burgess
Secretary
Dr. Burgess received her undergraduate degree from the University of St Thomas and her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Burgess is currently employed by Minnesota Gastroenterology and is certified in pediatric advanced life support and has extensive experience with high risk pediatric cases. She is Vivienne’s aunt.
Lisa Adelmann
Ms. Adelmann received her undergraduate degree from Luther University and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and is an inactive CPA. She has spent the last 10 years leading project based management consulting. Ms. Adelmann has held interim CFO positions at different nonprofits including Goodwill Easter Seals MN, Resource, VOA of MN/WI and Minnesota Children’s Museum.
Sara DeKok
Ms. DeKok received her undergraduate degree in biology and her master’s degree in conservation biology from the University of Wisconsin. She has spent 14 years working in the nonprofit community and is currently the Development Director for the Friends of the Mississippi River. Ms. DeKok was previously the Associate Director for Gathering Waters: Wisconsin Alliance for Land Trusts.
